How did you become a Hypnotherapist?

It is always interesting to share a bit of background on how I became involved in hypnosis and later in therapy. One of the things that dogged my education and childhood was a bad memory, linked to issues around dyslexia. It was through hypnotherapy that I gained a greater understanding of how my memory worked and how to reduce the effects of the dyslexia and the way it undermined my confidence and stopped me from progressing and achieving the goals I had set myself.

My fascination with hypnosis grew and I became a pupil of David Lesser who developed Curative Hypnotherapy and later on Lesserian Hypnosis. In 1991 I gained qualification in Curative Hypnotherapy. I owe a great deal to this caring, intelligent and kind gentleman who sadly passed away in 2001, having created the Association of Curative Hypnotherapists.

What type of Problems can you help resolve with Hypnotherapy?

It is not possible to list all the problems that can be successfully treated by CURATIVE HYPNOTHERAPY but the following are problems that I have successfully treated since 1991.

Academic Problems Addictions Agoraphobia Alcohol Problems Allergies Anxiety Arachnophobia Arthritis Asthma Bedwetting Blushing Car Sickness Claustrophobia Compulsive Behaviours Confidence Depression Driving Problems Driving test Eating disorders Eczema Exams Fears Frigidity Golf Improvement Grief Hay fever IBS Impatience Indigestion Insomnia Loss of Motivation Menstrual problems Migraine Nail biting Nervousness Obsessions OCD Panic Personal Phobias Public appearances Relationships Relaxation Self Esteem Sexual Problems Shyness Sleep Problems Smoking Sports Performance Stage Fright Stammering Stress Sweating Temper & Misplaced Anger Tension Tinnitus Ulcers Unwanted Habits Weight Problems Worrying

What is your success rate with Hypnotherapy?

In 1996, the Association undertook a survey of treatments across its Membership. The Marketing Advisory Group of the Association of curative Qualified Hypnotherapists compiled, collated and presented the following findings.

The survey showed an excellent success rate of 79% overall – or 91% of patients who continued with treatment until completion or termination by the therapist.

The survey also showed the average number of treatment sessions each patient required to resolve their problem was just 6 sessions.
