A Technorati article says that meditation is the ultimate self help program along with its many benefits which are not conjecture or subjective experiences. These claims are scientifically backed and verified by robust research.
One is the reduction of the symptoms of depression. Fewer heart attack would also come to you if you meditate. It is also good for people suffering from insomnia for a long time, where 75% on those who were trained in meditation can now sleep soundly after 20 minutes.
