FreeHypnosisTreatment Interview

By Interviewer at 07/30/07 18:23
Name of your website?

FreeHypnosisTreatment

Your name?

Jon Rhodes

Your Location (city, etc)

Lancashire England

What inspired you to launch your own website?

To reach a wider range of people than I could by visiting them personally. I can offer free treatment and spread the word about hypnosis and meditation.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

This is my first site, which I launched in January 2007.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

With difficulty! Lots of names are already taken. I just wanted its name to be descriptive of what it does. You hear about so called free sites that just lure people in to charge them for everything.

Please give us a short summary of your website?

It provides free hypnosis and guided meditation recordings. It also provides free health articles covering a wide range of topics. The site is expanding all the time, and we have some exciting ideas in the pipeline.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

It does what it says on the tin. It offers lots of health resources for absolutely nothing, and still maintains a high level of quality.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

My goal right now is to cover costs through sponsorship to help fund more content on the site. Eventually I would like a source of income from the site again through sponsorship. I do not wish to compromise the free nature of the site.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Presently I have limited time to spend on this project. Hopefully I will get more in the future when it gets more popular.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would probably get it looking a bit more professional, and perhaps add more color to it. However we are working on that aspect anyway.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes as it is relatively low maintainence.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Very little. I have enjoyed all the ups and downs. I did think that it would be easier to get more visitors, but I have learnt that it takes time.

What has been your biggest challenge?

To keep it free!

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Article submissions.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

Harder to get lots of traffic!

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

For 6 months. I plan on running it for many years!

Any last words?

Yes. Please visit the site. If you like it then please support it by telling others.
