Self Hypnosis UK Interview

By Interviewer at 10/17/09 09:41

Name of your website?

Self Hypnosis UK

Your name?

Phill

Your Location (city, etc)

Winchester

Please give us a short summary of your website?

The website was created to promote an innovative self hypnosis system designed to change peoples lives for the better without the usual internal struggles

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I have been through a process of life coaching which allowed me to combat alcohol, drug and weight issues where all the usual methods had failed. I have recently teamed up with the author of the system to offer this system to anyone who wants to change their life for the better.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

About 5 years ago I put together a gardening website called my back garden. It didn't really go anywhere, but was good experience.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

It describes exactly what is on offer - self hypnosis uk.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

Most self help systems are targetted at the issue your facing whereas this system focusses on the person and the way they live their life.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

In truth we would like everyone to understand how they can live their lives without the constant internal conflict that most of us have got used to putting up with. The UK has one of the highest rates of alcoholism and obesity in the world - it would be nice to think that we've helped ease this in some way in the future.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

This is a brand new venture so it's hard to say at this time - but the site is already attracting interest so I'm very positive about the future.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

There's not really much I would change at this point. We have done it on a budget and have taken advantage of the many free offerings available via the internet (such as the design) but feel that we've been discerning in our selections and have always given due credit to the suppliers.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Absolutely - we have a great server in London with crazy amounts of resource and the product is a download so it really doesn't require much manual input if any.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

None at this stage.

What has been your biggest challenge?

So far the biggest challenge has been generating traffic to the site, I know were not alone in this and are involved in a highly competitive industry so it's not unexpected that it has been hard work to achieve search engine rankings.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Good optimisation so far.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

No

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

about a month - it's only a part time operation and I'm 100% confident that at some point the site will be successfull as we're doing all the right things - the only variable is time.

What is your website address?
