    The article puts the criteria for a happy and lasting marriage at "constant communication, financial stability and emotional maturity". Based on experience, I would reorder a add the criteria in the following way; Constant communication, love, respect and then financial security. If all criteria are present in that order then the final one (financial security) will follow s the home is stable allowing both people to focus outward on their career.
